Relaxation: Long Lake Bed Breakfast Nanaimo Vancouver Island BCImagine a calm balmy summer evening paddling along a lake, followed by an invigorating moonlight swim, then a warm therapeutic hot tub soak. Crown this perfect evening by relaxing on your own private deck with a glass of bubbly, listening to soft music.

A private, romantic and luxurious waterfront Bed and Breakfast resort, right in the city of Nanaimo, offers all this.

Marianne and Harold Robinson have figured out how they can turn part of their home into a business and meet new friends from all over the world at the same time. They have worked hard to build and maintain their large home on Long Lake in Nanaimo.

"By the time you've got your home large enough for five kids, most of them have moved out," Marianne says. The Robinson's now like to share the home with people who are looking for the perfect getaway.

Bed and breakfast accommodation is rapidly becoming the preferred alternative to travelers looking for more personal and 'people-friendly' lodgings. It attracts wedding couples, business people and vacationers.

Water Skiing at Long Lake Bed Breakfast Nanaimo Vancouver Island BCGuests of the Robinsons receive a lovely continental breakfast each morning delivered to their door at the time they choose.

The facilities at Long Lake Bed and Breakfast are private, self-contained and affordable. The lakeside setting includes its own walk-on beach and wharf nestled in old-growth trees. Other features include a paddleboat, canoe, windsurfer, and sailboat. A hot tub is located on one of the decks and there is a cooking fire pit on the beach.

Many amenities are close by, such as shopping, golfing, restaurants and more. The lake is stocked with trout and bass.

The water is clean and swimming is great. The southern exposure provides warmth even in the winter, but there's plenty of shade to protect you from the sun as well.

"Come and join us for a visit you'll remember always. It's like having your cake and eating it too," says Marianne.
